Fun Fall Weekend!!!!

We had a busy fun weekend. Saturday Brandon got to go to the Liberty Memorial, Science City, and The World War 2 Museum for Boyscouts with Josh. Me and Brandi decided to take Ben, Faith and Brianna to Independence. First we got to Trick or Treat on the square and then we stayed for the parade. The kids we so tired Faith literally wanted to take a nap in the street Ben just decided to lay down by her.
Brianna was kind of out of it too. She doesnt care for big crowds. I took Brianna to the bathroom. They had 1 portapotty for all these people. We stood in line for 20 minutes. My kids started getting really worried about where I was. Later that night we went back to Independence for the Enchanted Forest. We stood in line for 2 1/2 hours oh my gosh. We were cold, and my back was killing me. It was pretty cute. It would have been better if we didnt have to stand as long. The kids were troopers though.

Sunday we went to moms for a Halloween party. It was cold and windy but alot of fun. We had chili dogs, mummy pizzas, pumpking dip, oreo bon bons, bat cupcakes, spagetti squash, rotel dip. It was yummy and warmed our tummy's. Jana also made a yummy white chocolate hot cocoa. We had face painting, and pumpking paintings. My dad made the kids a haunted house. I think everyone had a blast.

Here is Lacy with her creation.

Julianna, Shane and Kayla with their cute pumpkins.

Camille with her little pumpkin.

Faith had a blast. She even cried when we had to take the paints away. She wasnt done. But the wind was blowing the paint cups everywhere.

Ben, Brianna and Brandi with their pumpkins.

Ryan had a blast.

This was our first Halloween party and Momo's I think this will be our new tradition.

Literacy Night!!!

Last night was literacy night at Brandon and Ben's school. It was a safari pajama party and it was a blast. We started off with pizza, salad, and brownies in the cafeteria. Then we went into the gym for awards and prizes. Both Brandon and Ben were top readers in their classrooms. They each got to hi-five or hug Sizzle. Sizzle was a blast. Here is Brandon with is certificate and prize.
And Ben with his. Ben was so cute he nor I had any idea so when they called his name he jumped up and turned to look at me like "did they call my name". He ran up at picked out his prize and then came running back to hand it over to me. After awards we separated into groups. We were the giraffes and went off to different areas each time we spent 20 minutes there. In Kenya we played games and did crosswords and wordfinds, in Tanzania we were read Where the Wild Things are and drew our own Wildthings, in Botswana we read stories in the dark with flashlights and then went around the room making up our own story. We had to skip out on Zambia because my awesome brother was watching Faith and Morgan. So we thought we would come home and save him. We dont want to scare him away from ever wanting kids. LOL. Thanks Josh your awesome!!!

Awesome weekend at Grandma and Poppy's!!!

We had the best weekend. We went down to Columbus Kansas this weekend to hang out with Grandma, Poppy, Chris, Autumn and Josh's grandma. We got a much needed break away from home. We got to watch them blow up hotair balloons and then saw them take off. Not too many actually flew them because it was just too windy. But these 3 did.
This one was Faith's favorite because of the smiley face.
This one was Bens favorite and he was just absolutely amazed when he saw people going up into the air actually flying in this balloon. He will be talking about this for weeks. Now when he grows up this is what he wants to do.
This is Josh's grandma. She was so excited to see us. It has been quite awhile since we have gotten to visit with her.
Here is Ben with his normal pouting face.
This is my favorite picture. I just asked the kids to sit down and smile and tada. This is in Grandma's back yard. They loved playing at grandmas house. She had lots of toys and lots of games for them to play.
After the parade we got to let the kids play on a few inflatables. This was their favorite. Ben climbed this wall which was pretty darn high, like he was an old pro. He climbed it better and faster than Brandon. Which he thought was hilarious.
This is Brandon stuggling a little bit but he too made it to the top.
And my favorite part. The KC Marching Cobras. They were so great. They were about 45 minutes late because they got lost. Which I was so sad because I thought we missed them. But nope not at all. They performed for us for about 1 hour and man did they perform. No breaks for them. It was pretty darn hot but they didnt let that slow them down.
These 2 young girls came and pulled me and Autumn out into the street to dance with them. Faith wouldnt go by herself but she sure wanted to dance with mommy. We stayed over at Chris's house (Josh's brother) and the kids had a blast, Chris had lots of snacks, and drinks, and the kids got to watch Cartoon Network way late. Wish we could have stayed a little longer. But it was great fun.
