Entry for January 30, 2008

Brandon is so excited he has had alot of fun things going on the past couple of weeks. First of all a couple weekends back he got to go to the childrens museum and he got to make his own puppet house and puppet. He had a blast doing that. Josh got to go with him. Then last Sunday was the derby car races. He and Josh have been working on his car for a few weeks. Brandon did almost all of it by himself. He was so proud he even painted it blue and gold for boyscouts. He ended up getting 3rd place in the tigers group and 14th place overall. He also earned his bobcat badge and has recieved several beads already. He has also officially passed first grade addition he is so excited about that. Because he was the only one today and he got a round of applause but his teacher didnt like the first round of applause so he also recieved a second.
Ben got his stitches out and his brains remained in so he was super excited about that. Plus Ben is getting ready to start everyones favorite fundraiser. Red wagon cookie dough and pies. He says mommy those cards we sold last time were stupid but everyone likes cookies and pie so nobody should say no to me about this one. Too funny. Also me and him get to go to math night at his school next Monday. He loves when he gets all the attention and me and him get to go do something without brother and sister. Next Friday at Brandons school they are having movie night. Ben hasnt decided if he wants to let Brandon have all the attention on Friday or if he should tag along. He is still thinking.

Entry for January 24, 2008

We had a super late night. Had to take Ben to the hospital to get stitches in his head. Man it sure did end up in a good place, right in his hair line so you really dont notice it much even with the stitches in. Brandon was running around the house and Ben stepped out of the bedroom and boom (strike) down he went right into the corner of the wall. At first I kind of did nothing cause that is a normal sound in this house. But then I walked around the corner and blood is pouring out of his head I am like what. Brandon starts crying, Faith starts crying and at first Ben is like what. Then he looks at his bloody hand. It was kind of chaos after that. Josh was at school so I am trying to decide does this need stitches, trying to decide if I wanted to drag all the kids up to the hospital at 8:30 at night. Thank goodness my friend Brandi came to the rescue. She came over and sat with Faith and Brandon till Josh got home. We did not even get home from the hospital until after 11:00. Then of coarse I was wired probably didnt got to sleep till after 1:00 and then the lovely alarm goes off at 5:00. Yuck!!! Brandi said pour Faith just kept saying. Ben, booboo, ouch. Ben booboo, ouch. She was so worried about her brother. First thing this morning she went and found Ben, found his booboo, gave him a big hug and kiss, and didnt leave his side till he had to go to school. So sweet.

I honestly dont know why they didnt have school today its not even bad out. I guess probably it seems worse when everyone is out on the road at the same time. My kids are so funny they didnt even ask about school this morning and when I finally said something they both thought they just missed school today because we got a late start. We got a wake up call at like 5:15 stating that we wouldnt have school today, so I didnt even bother the kids I just let them get up on their own.

Entry for January 16, 2008

Faith loves Wednesday's! That is when her best buddy Ben does not have preschool so she gets him all to herself. She just loves hanging out with him, he will play babies with her and dance it really makes a fun day for them both.
Well like everyone else it seems me and Josh have chosen to go a more healthy way of eating and living. Everyday I hear something bad about something I have been eating or using on tv or the radio. So we have chosen to eat more fruits and vegetables and less potatoes, pasta. More fish and chicken and turkey and less red meat. So far so good. I still make alot of the same foods but instead of hamburger I used ground turkey or chicken. Or we suppliment with beans. The kids have not complained about anything infact they are like this tastes better. I have only lost 5 pounds but I am getting more in shape my pants are looser in the hips, belly and thighs which is good. I thought is would be hard for Josh but not at all. He eats oatmeal almost everyday for breakfast, he has been eating salads for lunch and then we started eating dinner a little later so we wont snack. Our snacks are now all natural popcorn, fruit, or all natural nutbars. Everyone seems to be less tired and less moody with the change also.

Entry for January 04, 2008

Faith has the major statics. But she has made a game out of it. She sits in her little chair, slides out and all of her hair stands up on end. She loves this game.
The cutest things she has been saying is, she sings bopbabop Mama. Which is her singing Rockabye Mommy. I love this also when she gets up and comes downstairs in the morning or after her nap, holds both arms out and goes my momma and waits for me to say my Faithy.
The cutest thing Ben is saying right now is What a rip off. He said that during Christmas when he only saw one light on a house, or if he doesnt get many chicken nuggets in his happy meal.
Brandon is so sweet right now he wont let anyone say anything bad about anyone. If someone does happen to say something bad he will say well maybe she just couldnt do that right now, or maybe she couldnt come because her electricity went out, or maybe her alarm clock didnt go off today. It is just so funny. He will stick up for someone he doesnt even know. He does this even to tv characters.
The kids have been rather bored they are so ready to go back to school. They do not go back until Monday which I am ready too. Brandon and Ben seem to fight about the littlest things when they are together 24 7. They also tend to drive mom nuts also. It has been a pretty good vacation for everyone though. Just the last few days have gotten a little rough.
