Entry for September 25, 2007

So we had a 4am wake up call this morning. I woke up to thunder and lightning. So I am laying in bed and I see this big ol ball of light and I hear this gigantic boom and I was like oh my god I think our house was just struck by lightning. So I am looking out the window and running around the house and I decide it wasnt. So I lay back down. About 20 minutes later I hear fire trucks rushing to our street. The fire hydrant is in our yard so I fly out of bed, put on some clothes, grab the kids, grab the dog, grab my purse and run outside. Then I stop and think why aren't the firemen telling me to get out of my house. I smell smoke very strong. So I look outside it was the house 2 houses down. Flames flying out of the top of their house, black smoke everywhere. The firetrucks were here for about 21/2 hours. I guess my neighbor heard the boom looked outside and saw this house on fire. She called 911 and then ran next door and woke them up and got them out. They slept right through it.

Here is Ben and his best friend Brianna. Her and her mom just moved back from Michigan. They were a little shy with each other at first but then they picked up just like she had never been gone. They are about the same height. She is almost 4 and he is 5. They look like they are the exact same age since Ben was blessed with the short gene. But they love hanging out with each other and it helps that she is a tom boy.

Oh my gosh. So I am outside sweeping away some leaves that have collected at the back door. And I feel something. But I ignore it thinking nothing. Next thing I feel something in my flipflop so I look down. It is a snake. GROSS!!!!!! I hate snakes. I am thrashing my foot, and kicking my shoe off. And totally looking like a nut case. And then it slithers off I dont know where. It was just a garder snake but still. It looked forever long but I am sure it probably wasnt. Either way just thought I would share.

So this is the New babydoll of Faith's. She will not put the baby down. She goes everywhere with her. We just bought this for her yesterday. It was so cute she actually asked for it. We had to go to Toys R Us and buy a bday present and we went down the babydoll isle and she was like baby for me. Me baby. It was so cute. She can already talk and so me, Brandon and Ben knew exactly what she was asking for and she knew specifically which one she wanted. I sware she is a 3 year old in a 1 year olds body.
We are having a wonderful weekend. I got the house cleaned today, the kids have been hanging out with their friends, Josh is getting his homework done.
We are having Cheeseburgers for dinner and Josh just asked everyone what they wanted on their burger. Faith piped right up and said she wanted "dip"on hers. Too funny. My kids have always called ketchup or BBQ sauce dip. Everyone tells me that is how it is with the 3rd child. Man I am glad I am not having a 4th. The kid would probably come out talking and walking. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. !!!!

Entry for September 16, 2007

We have had a much needed relaxing, fun week. Josh was off this week so we spent alot of it spending money buying things we have been needing for awhile. We had to get groceries cause Josh likes to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am doing more dishes 3 times a day. Josh has been helping with the chores. He has been washing and drying the laundry. Of coarse I get stuck with the part nobody likes folding and putting away. He is also off next week so I will use that week to go room to room and organize a bit. Since school has started, and boyscouts and swimming lessons I have been very, very busy and that will not slow down anytime soon. I have been volunteered several times to help at the schools. (which is fine I just sometimes dont find out till the last minute). I have been offered 5 babysitting jobs. Which I will not be taking any of them. I will help every once in awhile if need be but I dont want to be tied down everyday babysitting. I am enjoying spending this time with just my kids.
We got to go to the Renaissance Festival saturday with some friends of ours and it was a blast. I have only been once, Josh has never been and of coarse the kids havent been. Ben loved the jousting. He was actually knighted for slaying a dragon. He was so excited. He loved all the jousting, and fighting he also got to touch some nice, big lovely snakes. (EEEWWW). He asked if that could be his next pet. Um, I said no. Brandon had a blast too he was very good at the games.
Josh is gonna take the boys camping next weekend. Also if anyone is interested the liberty fall festival is the weekend after next. The parade is Saturday the 29th. Not sure of the time yet probably 11. You usually need to get there about an hour before for a good piece of concrete. Brandon will probably be in the parade this year for boyscouts. Maybe I will see someone there.

Popcorn, candy, wrapping paper ANYONE???
These fundraisers are kind of getting to me. Brandon has to sell popcorn for boyscouts. If he sells $300 dollars worth he wont have to pay his dues. (Um yea right). He also has the read-a-thon fundraiser which we are suppose to ask people to pledge a penny a minute. We are suppose to read 1000 minutes. Ben is selling the Sally Foster stuff which is reasonably priced as far a fundraisers go. Um I think I have a little too much on my plate right now. I dont really have anyone to ask to buy this stuff but if we dont sell a certain amount then you either miss out of this or miss out on that plus they make you feel like you are this horrible person and like you didnt try to sell the stuff. Like we didnt just go broke on this wedding we just had, or the 5 birthdays I have going on this month. Um hello. Oh well just had to put this out there. We will see what happens.

Happy Birthday Benjamin!!! Today Ben turns 5 years old. We took him out to breakfast this morning. Did some errands and let him pick out dessert for tonight. He picked out some Ninja Turtle cupcakes. We also went to Jana's and Nicks and watched them open their wedding presents. Brandon and Ben told them what to open, who could open it and when to open it. They got lots of nice things. The wedding was so awesome. We all danced our butts off. It was over so fast. Everyone had so much fun. The little kids loved the whole dancing thing. The food was really yummy too. I was kind of embarrased cause I have developed this car sickness/motion sickness thing lately and I thought I was gonna get sick in the limo. Everyone was really nice though, trying to find something for me to be sick in. Thank goodness though we made it to the reception and I didnt get sick.

Entry for September 03, 2007

What a wonderful weekend. Despite the fact I am sick with either a sinus infection, or bronchitis or something. I havent had time to go to the doctor. But anyways Josh finally got a 3 day weekend off. First one in I dont know how long. Saturday he and the boys went out to Jamie's house and helped Mark put together the swingset. Me and Faith twiddled around at home a little bit and we took a much needed nap.
Sunday was the most fun we had a bowling birthday party for Brandon and Ben. It was so much fun. Most of the kids never bowled but they loved it even if they only knocked down 1 pin they would jump around with excited. Ryan and Max got confused a couple of times and would try to throw the ball like a baseball. (That was kinda scary) but we helped them figure it out. We had 5 little kids on one lane and the 5 older kids in the other. It worked out great. It literally took the little kids an hour and a half to play one game. But it safed me some money and they still had a blast.
Afterwards we took everyone home except Brandon's best friend Brenden and they came back to the house to play with all the new toys. Man they got some cool stuff. Ryan got them each pellet guns, Max got them each spiderman and G I Joe things. Ben got some cool K-nex thing, Brandon got some cool matchbox dinosaur thing the folds up like a laptop. They each got some Bionicles, a hula hoop, 2 big posters, 2 nerf footballs. We had transformers cupcakes. Ryan, and Max each had 2. Ryan says thank you so much Jodi for letting me have two ""Elicious"" cupcakes, Max said those were the best cupcakes I ever ate. Too cute now who wouldnt have let them have 2. Brandon and Ben say this was the best birthday EVER.

It was hard to keep their little fingers from touching the cake. They all wanted the transformer on top.
