Entry for December 27, 2007

Brandon and Ben got these hover remote control things from Josh for Christmas. They love them. Faith loves to run around the house and chase them. Shelby ( the dog) does not like them she thinks she needs to knock them down and squash them. Goofy dog. Anyways the boys have been occupying some time playing with those. Also Brandon got a mega shark rig that he has been enjoying in the bathtub. Plus they have been playing with the V-smile. They are still kinda wearing me out though. I think I am coming down with something. That is always the way it works for me. I plan everything to a T even sometimes it seems like I plan being sick. I always seem to get sick when they are out of school.

Entry for December 25, 2007

Merry Christmas!!! We had an early start to our morning. I think we were up about 5:30. The kids pretty much got everything they wanted. We then went to moms for a delicious early lunch. And we are now back home enjoying all of our wonderful gifts.

Entry for December 24, 2007

We are still holding strong. No giving in on this end. Brandon asked if they were really good can they open one present before bed. We will have to discuss that with dad when he gets home from work. Today I am making all of my goodies. Since we will be up at the crack of dawn and need to be at moms house tomorrow by 10. I am getting really excited. My stocking was filled with goodies last night and I was told no peeking. Also my presents were wrapped last night by Brandon. I guess he got a little overwhelmed but he finished them. We will make cookies tonight for Santa they picked out ones with reeses pieces in them. Might have to sample those.

Pie Anyone?

Today we spent about 7 hours making our desserts. We made homemade cherry pies. I had to pit 8 cups of cherries. Boy my hands hurt and we made a homemade apple pie. Atleast Josh was home to occupy the kids a bit. Tomorrow we will do the rest of our food. That was enough for today. WWWHHEEWW

Entry for December 20, 2007

Well we made it to see Santa and we only had to stand in line for 45 minutes. He was the sweetest Santa we ever had so it was so worth the wait. We were afraid Faith would freak out being at the almost 2 age but she did not she popped right up on his lap and just stared at him. We didnt get a smile but that was ok.
I stood in line and held our place and first Josh took Brandon and Ben to pick me out a Christmas present. Then he came back and took Faith and left Brandon and Ben and took my present to the car. So he kind of kept the kids busy.
We almost forgot to go see Santa this year and Monday night Brandon was like mommy we need to go see Santa this year. We have just been so busy that I didnt make that a priority but we took care of it last night and everyone is now happy.

Entry for December 16, 2007

So yesterday evening we had our Christmas get together with Brandi and Brianna. We had lasagna, salad, bread and oreo cheesecake. Yummy. The kids got to open their gifts and were really excited. It seems my kids are getting everything they are asking for this year. Or should I say everything they were asking for a few weeks ago. Brandon comes up with something NEW that he wants everyday. But the shopping is done. Completely. Everything is wrapped no changing your mind. I have a very busy week going on but it is all fun stuff. Brandon has a music concert Thursday and I am helping decorate for that Thursday morning. Both kids have Christmas parties on Friday so I will be attending both. Not to mention the boyscout meeting, swimming lessons and everything else. Should be a fun and entertaining week. Hope everyone is enjoying the snow.

Day # 2 without school. I was kind of surprised we never cancel school. I am glad the kids got all those early Christmas presents to keep them occupied. Also one day last week I went to the library and got alot of books. The kids have been walking on the treadmill in the morning. So cute. They wanna be like mommy and daddy. Or maybe I should say they dont wanna look like mommy and daddy. Hehe. Got to prepare ourselves for all the eating coming up soon. Can you believe it is almost Christmas. My kids are so excited. Hopefully the weather gets better soon so all of the special activities that are planned dont get cancelled.

Entry for December 10, 2007

What a weekend. So Josh is on vacation till the 21st. Terri my mother in law was off for a few days so we decided to go down to their house this weekend to spend an early Christmas with them. We headed out Friday after Brandon got out of school. Got their about 7:00. Had our Christmas on Saturday the kids got lots of presents. They were super excited. Watched lots of movies and ate lots of cookies and pies and stuff.
So Sunday morning I hear thunder, and ice, the electricity was going on and off. It got really really bad. A tree fell on their house, one fell on the carport. We had to leave early so we could make it home. It was really bad weather until we got about half way home. But we made it. It was an adventure for sure. They are still without electricity. That is not fun.

Entry for November 24, 2007

Today we decorated our Christmas tree. Or anyways we finished decorating it. I started decorating it yesterday but I had several issues. I started putting it together and then I had to run and do a couple of errands when I came back the tree was put together but not completely correctly. The kids were off on the branch sizes the long ones were on top and some short ones in the middle. I didnt capture a picture of that before it came apart again. Then we had issues with the lights. They would work, I would get them on the tree and then they didnt work. So needless to say I took a break and we finished up this afternoon.
Now I am getting ready to take my friend Brandi out for her birthday which I am so looking forward too. I NEVER get to go out and if I do, I NEVER get to go without the kids so I am super excited. I will be able to eat all of my own food, get to finish whatever I start to say. It will be super lovely. Hope everyone is having a lovely, super long, enjoyable, shopping filled weekend.

Brandon along with a couple of other kids from school were asked to help lead the Board of Education in the pledge of allegiance. He has been very excited and has been practicing and everything. Well come last night he got all upset. Josh wanted him to wear his boyscout uniform and Brandon started getting all worked up. And said he didnt want to go and was crying and stuff. Anyways Josh talked to him and calmed him down. He got up there to the administrative office and everyone was complimenting him and afterwards telling him what a good job he did.
On the way home (Josh took him) Brandon says daddy I think we deserve some dessert. So Josh took him and he brought us some Ben and Jerry's home. Somethings are just so rough arent they. We are very proud of our boyscout.

Entry for November 18, 2007

What a weekend. We are trying to enjoy this lazy Sunday. I have had a birthday party or special event to attend the last 3 weekends in a row. And then of coarse Thursday is Thanksgiving so I will be spending this week shopping and cooking. Then next Saturday I have an other bday. Craziness.
Speaking of bday's yesterday was Brianna's bday party at the bowling alley. I didnt get a very good picture of Brianna so I am sticking a picture of Faith on here instead. The kids had a blast. But we were next to the game room so we had to keep going and finding the kids when it was their turn to bowl. They had just buffed the floors right before we started bowling so first Jamie almost falls, then I do fall, then Ryan fell the worst his feet slipped right out from underneath him and he landed right on the back of his head, then Faith fell and then Brandon my gosh how many people have to fall before we realize the floor is extra slippery.
Poor Max didnt get to attend the party cause he got very sick right before the party, and now Camille is acting sick. Faith has a really bad cold it might even be a sinus infection. Hopefully everyone gets better before Thursday. We will just have to stay away from each other till then. There are way too many of us to risk the stomach bug going through all of us. And I dont want any excuses for not getting to stuff my face to the fullest on Thursday.

Entry for November 14, 2007

It is always something! I was making dinner last night and trying to hurry at that because it was getting late and the kids were starving. So I put the broccoli in the microwave for 5 minutes pull it out to stir it and put it back in and get a big zap. The microwave blew. So now one of our most important things in this house that we use several times a day is gone. Last night Josh wanted microwave popcorn um couldnt have it. This morning he wanted to heat up some gravy for breakfast. Well didnt think that the microwave was broke. I mean sometimes we just become so attached to something it seems like if you dont have any other way to make things work. Well I know I could use the oven or stove but we were down to near minutes. So quickly I run to Price Chopper. (by the way we were also out of milk which meant no pancakes, or cereal either). We run in get the kids a donut, pick up some milk, rush back home just to get literally screamed at by this old man who was taking up the whole street and I was trying to get home to get Brandon's backpack. My gosh, dont people ever think about other people anymore. Then he drove around the street to see where I lived, what is that. The whole time I could see his wife smacking him and tell him to mind his own business. Now I am going to be afraid to go outside. I thought the microwave was going to be my problem today.

Entry for November 12, 2007

Ben spent the night at Momo's house and all he got was this black eye. Poor guy. I guess he fell out of the bed him and Lacy were sharing and on the way down he smacked into the trashcan that was by the bed. He didnt even feel it or didnt let anyone know cause he just crawled over on the floor and laid next to Brandon. The next morning mom asked what happened and Ben said what do you mean. He either didnt remember it or thought he was dreaming.
I am so excited I only have 3 more people to buy for Christmas and one of them I know what I am doing its just getting it done. Everyone is making things super easy on me this year. Brandon asked me today why I havent decorated for Thanksgiving so I am going to have to go to the basement and find a few things. I am trying to stay in the holiday spirit but Josh is on duty for thanksgiving and Christmas so it kind of makes me sad, that he may be at work. Hopefully no cables get stolen or anything crazy happens so he will atleast be able to eat a HOT meal instead of just the leftovers. We will see.
Ben didnt want me to send him to school today because of his eye. He didnt want everyone staring at him and asking him what happened. But he only goes 2 days this week. I hope he has a good day.

Entry for November 08, 2007

So we went to take a tour of Ben's new preschool location and it was so awesome. The Ford plant built it for daycare and then didnt use it for very long. Each room has a child size sink and bathroom, a door to go straight outside. Really nice large room with a small kitchen in each. The floors are heated since you know preschoolers sit on the floor alot. They have 2 actual art sections in the building so the kids can go out of the room for art and not make a mess in the actual room. They have this whole room filled with just building stuff, legos, building blocks, soft and wood, just all varieties. They have a movie room. They have a special sidewalk outside for the kids to ride tricycles, and small vehicles, they have their own sprayer park. I mean I am glad Ben gets to go to it since this will be his last year of preschool. He will get to start on Nov 19. It is going to be crazy for the school to move everything. They hired movers and then they will have from Wed until Monday morning on the 19th to get everything organized. Good luck to them.

And the leaves fall down. So I had a ton of leaves in my tree and then boom overnight most of them are on the ground. I guess it has been decided what I will be doing over the next few days. I love fall the way the leaves and everything looks. All the gorgeous colors but I hate the cold. I do not like it when it gets cold. I become a big baby.
I have put a big dent in my Christmas shopping and I am so excited. I get very nervous this time of year, with all the birthdays I have in November, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas not to mention the end of the year taxes. So to have some shopping done helps make me a "little"less stressed.
Ben gets to move to a new school. He will get to move to it in two weeks. So exciting. This building is so awesome. It has a covered outside play area so they can play outside no matter what the weather and all of the preschoolers will now be in one building. Will be neat. I get to go take a look at it Wednesday morning. Will let you know more then.

Little Miss Spider and Bumblebee. Halloween was super fun and busy. I went to Brandon's school party. Then we rushed home got our costumes on and went to moms. She had chili and soup waiting for us. Then we went up on the square and got some candy. Then we went to aunt Teri's she made us some witches brew, cookies, and brownies. Yum yum. Then we came home and I passed out candy and Josh took Brandon and Ben around our streets. We had a very Happy Halloween.

Entry for October 31, 2007

Sorry if you cant really see these. They look alot better in person but I just cant get a good shot of them. Brandons is a skull and Ben's is a monster trick or treatin. It took me forever to do these. The things you do for your kids huh. My hands kept hurting really bad and I cut myself a couple of times but all ended well.
We have been so super busy here. The kids and I have definately made the most of Halloween this year. We have been to alot of fun things. Last night I took Ben and Faith to the Jr High for their second annual trick or treat it was so neat. They did really neat themes in the hallways. We went to Oompa Loompa World, candy land, haunted island, nursery rhyme land, I dont even remember them all but they were neat. They had fun games set up. Brandon had his boyscouts trunk or treat party and he had a blast. They made him up as a mummy out of toilet paper he thought that was cool. Yesterday was Bens school party. I went and he got to pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, got to make a jack o lantern, had cupcakes and went trick or treating through the school. It was lots of fun. Today is Brandon party and I will be attending his also. I love being able to do that. They had to dress up as school helpers and Brandon wanted to dress up as the principal. I spent my morning on line trying to figure out how to tie a tie. I was able to do it. Man I dont know what I would do without the internet.
Happy Halloween everyone. Be safe and have fun. Heather did you get those costumes done?

Entry for October 25, 2007

Here is Ben's preschool picture this year. Doesnt he look sweet.
Today the kids had early release and they dont have school tomorrow. We have lots of fun things planned to do over the next several days. My kids LOVE Halloween it is their favorite holiday so we try to make the most of it. They have lots of free things going on all over the city so we will take advantage. Tonight we are going to a Creepy halloween puppet show, tomorrow night trick or treating at Park College, then Saturday trunk or treating and to a magic show, Sunday a Halloween party, Monday trunk or treating again, Tuesday to the Jr High to trick or treat and play games and stuff, and then of coarse trick or treating on Halloween. Not that they need all that candy but they just have a super ball doing stuff. And I like it when it is FREE. So wish us luck. We will be busy.

Entry for October 23, 2007

Well last night was Ben's parent teacher conference. She says he is very sweet, helpful, pays attention, if others arent paying attention he tells them to. He is writing pretty well and is pretty much at where or above where he should be. So that is good. But then she says to me Ben is kind of a goofball sometimes. And I said ok. She says I will say something like does a train go on a train track and he will be like No! and she will say yes it does and he will be like No it doesnt and play that game for awhile. She says do you know he does this. I am like yea we are pretty sarcastic sometimes at home. And she was like well what do you do about this. I said I just tell him there is a time to act like that and a time not too. Of coarse Josh just laughed about this because Josh plays that "No its not game"with Ben all the time. Thats our Ben.

Entry for October 21, 2007

Here is Brandon 1st grade picture. He looks a little sarcastic in this one. He said the photographer was goofy. He looks so much bigger than the nervous little kindergarten picture from last year.
We have had a pretty busy last few days. Yesterday was super crazy. We had a birthday party at 1:00, Ben had fun but let me tell you I will not be going back to that house. It was so gross. I could not walk anywhere without sticking to the floor, they had made cupcakes, punch, and ordered pizza but I could not touch any of it. On the counter tops right in front of everyone they had cockroaches crawling around. The house was so dirty that it smelled of like month old trash. In the room they had set up for the kids they had taken piled up dishes obviously from their kitchen counter and set them in a dish drainer in this room the kids were playing in. The front door kept flying open and knocking people off the porch they finally got some duct tape and taped it shut and we had to keep taping and untaping if we wanted to go in or out. I had to excuse myself early. Oh and the womens husband kept finding excuses to get close to me and either rub my shoulder area, or my hip area. And everyone had a dip in there mouth, when they talked some of it either spilled out or spit dribbled out. It was so bad and I am not even sharing everything just because I cant. Then after that we went to moms for Max's party, then we went to the corn maze, then we went back to moms for Smore's. Keep in mind I had nothing to eat this entire time. I was so hungry I scarfed down to Smore's. So needless to say today is a rest day.

Entry for October 18, 2007

What a morning. I have not been doing very well at getting up in the morning much before 7:30 because for some reason I cant sleep at night. I sleep really good till about 1:30 or 2:00 and then I wake up till about 4:00, then I finally fall back to sleep and the alarm goes off at 5:00. So I lay there and go back to sleep sometime after that. I fly out of bed this morning realizing both kids have school. Go downstairs to make a cup of coffee pour some milk in my coffee and notice it looks like cottage cheese. Icky. So therefore I was without my coffee, not good. Then I realize we have nothing for breakfast. No bread for toast, no frozen waffles, no milk for cereal, no oatmeal, no fruit, nothing. So quickly I am yelling at the kids you wanna go to McDonalds. They are throwing their clothes on running to the car with shoes in hand. We fly to McDonalds of coarse there was a line. I order the largest coffee they have, some sausage biscuits and we fly back home. Ben was so nervous from the morning chaos he wanted to save his biscuit for lunch. We get home 3 minutes before the bus comes. Geezz. Jodi you need to start getting your butt up. Here is Faith and Brandon sharing some Dragon Tales time.

Entry for October 17, 2007

What a soggy messy day. Ben was really upset today because we were suppose to go to the pumpkin patch. But about 8:30 his school called and cancelled it due to the weather. He was so mad. I am like would you rather get soaking wet and he was like YES. Anyways we came home after taking Brandon to school and turned up some Matchbox 20 really loud and danced around the house. That changed his mood really quickly. Then him and Faith played with some K'nex and I cleaned out a closet. I am really doing good with the organizing. I am trying really hard to just do what I planned to do for that day, and either not get sidetracked or not let myself get overwhelmed. It is working great. Yesterday I cleaned the closet to the basement and today I cleaned the closet in the (office) room. We really wanted Taco Bell today but we get there and they had a transformer blow so no Taco Bell. We had to settle for Sonic. I really wanted Taco Bell. Oh well maybe next time.

Man what a night. My trash man is going to love me this week. We rented Fantastic Four this weekend. So I go to look for the movie last night and I can't find it ANYWHERE. I look in the refrigerator, I looked in the hamper, under the rugs, in all of the other movie cases (and we have alot), in the dryer, outside in the yard, I finally broke down and thought maybe Faith threw it away so I go outside and dump all of the plastic bags and go through those, about 2 hours later I think hmmmm, I wonder if ,and I look under this part on our entertainment center that rolls out and sure enough there it is. Why couldnt I have thought that before I wadded through all the trash. GROSS!! So I finally get to sit down about 9:15 after a very crazy hectic day and then Josh calls. We were up until after 11:00 doing his term paper and then I finally was able to go to bed at 1am just for the alarm to go off at 5. Hopefully today will be better.

Entry for October 12, 2007

Ben has been so helpful lately. He asks me and Josh almost everyday if he is The Good Kid. So funny. He has just been super ready to help with anything he can. We were eating dinner the other night and he cleared away everyone's plates. I was still eating mine but he was so excited I let him take it anyways. Then yesterday he went up in the toy room and cleaned it and was like mommy close your eyes I have a surprise for you. Then him and Faith were in his room playing and he said Faith lets clean up the room when we are done so mommy wont have too. Last night after we got home from swimming lessons, he comes up to me and takes off my shoes and socks and starts rubbing my feet. For a little kid he gives awesome foot rubs.
Today we went and hung out at the mall. I was very disappointed. They are now taking all of the toys that they had in the middle out and putting in all of those riding toys that cost money. They want 75c per ride and the merry go round they now want $2 dollars per kid. What is that? Some person is a very greedy person. If he charged less he would end up making more. Not one kid rode a ride while I was there and every mom was upset just like me. So I guess we wont be going out to the mall "just to play"anymore. I did have a good shopping trip though I was able to get a certain niece a very nice Christmas present for a super good deal. And I was also able to get me a couple of shirts for 50 percent off. I need to go to the mall NOT to shop more often. Maybe then I will find better deals.

Smores anyone?
We had a super fun weekend. We have had a few of those lately. Saturday we went and hung out at Penguin Park and then when we got back the kids went to the neighbors for several hours. I was able to clean out my van with only one child. Josh made us a yummy chicken on the grill. Then we invited the girls over to have smores with Brandon and Ben. They had a blast. It was so messy. Then Sunday we went to Chucky Cheese's and then the neighbor girls came over and played with Brandon and Ben during the game. Then we went to moms and had pizza and apple pie for Jessica's birthday. She turns the big 29 today. Oh my gosh.
Happy Birthday Jessica!!!!!!!

Another bad habit I taught my daughter. She is so cute, she walks around the house jabbering and she even pauses, like she is actually talking and listening to someone on the phone. And I just sit back and listen to her. She will grin at me like she knows she is being cute. She also rolls her eyes at me. I wouldn't have any idea where she got that from!!! Another of her favorites is music she will stop and start dancing to any kind of music, even if it is just a commercial on tv, she even tries to snap her fingers to the beat. She also likes to sing with me. I will sing something like Rock-ABye baby and she will actually join me in singing, or she will put her hand over my mouth and she will continue singing. Just a few things I wanted to share about my little Faith.

So we had a 4am wake up call this morning. I woke up to thunder and lightning. So I am laying in bed and I see this big ol ball of light and I hear this gigantic boom and I was like oh my god I think our house was just struck by lightning. So I am looking out the window and running around the house and I decide it wasnt. So I lay back down. About 20 minutes later I hear fire trucks rushing to our street. The fire hydrant is in our yard so I fly out of bed, put on some clothes, grab the kids, grab the dog, grab my purse and run outside. Then I stop and think why aren't the firemen telling me to get out of my house. I smell smoke very strong. So I look outside it was the house 2 houses down. Flames flying out of the top of their house, black smoke everywhere. The firetrucks were here for about 21/2 hours. I guess my neighbor heard the boom looked outside and saw this house on fire. She called 911 and then ran next door and woke them up and got them out. They slept right through it.

Here is Ben and his best friend Brianna. Her and her mom just moved back from Michigan. They were a little shy with each other at first but then they picked up just like she had never been gone. They are about the same height. She is almost 4 and he is 5. They look like they are the exact same age since Ben was blessed with the short gene. But they love hanging out with each other and it helps that she is a tom boy.

Oh my gosh. So I am outside sweeping away some leaves that have collected at the back door. And I feel something. But I ignore it thinking nothing. Next thing I feel something in my flipflop so I look down. It is a snake. GROSS!!!!!! I hate snakes. I am thrashing my foot, and kicking my shoe off. And totally looking like a nut case. And then it slithers off I dont know where. It was just a garder snake but still. It looked forever long but I am sure it probably wasnt. Either way just thought I would share.

Entry for September 22, 2007

So this is the New babydoll of Faith's. She will not put the baby down. She goes everywhere with her. We just bought this for her yesterday. It was so cute she actually asked for it. We had to go to Toys R Us and buy a bday present and we went down the babydoll isle and she was like baby for me. Me baby. It was so cute. She can already talk and so me, Brandon and Ben knew exactly what she was asking for and she knew specifically which one she wanted. I sware she is a 3 year old in a 1 year olds body.
We are having a wonderful weekend. I got the house cleaned today, the kids have been hanging out with their friends, Josh is getting his homework done.
We are having Cheeseburgers for dinner and Josh just asked everyone what they wanted on their burger. Faith piped right up and said she wanted "dip"on hers. Too funny. My kids have always called ketchup or BBQ sauce dip. Everyone tells me that is how it is with the 3rd child. Man I am glad I am not having a 4th. The kid would probably come out talking and walking. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. !!!!

Entry for September 16, 2007

We have had a much needed relaxing, fun week. Josh was off this week so we spent alot of it spending money buying things we have been needing for awhile. We had to get groceries cause Josh likes to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am doing more dishes 3 times a day. Josh has been helping with the chores. He has been washing and drying the laundry. Of coarse I get stuck with the part nobody likes folding and putting away. He is also off next week so I will use that week to go room to room and organize a bit. Since school has started, and boyscouts and swimming lessons I have been very, very busy and that will not slow down anytime soon. I have been volunteered several times to help at the schools. (which is fine I just sometimes dont find out till the last minute). I have been offered 5 babysitting jobs. Which I will not be taking any of them. I will help every once in awhile if need be but I dont want to be tied down everyday babysitting. I am enjoying spending this time with just my kids.
We got to go to the Renaissance Festival saturday with some friends of ours and it was a blast. I have only been once, Josh has never been and of coarse the kids havent been. Ben loved the jousting. He was actually knighted for slaying a dragon. He was so excited. He loved all the jousting, and fighting he also got to touch some nice, big lovely snakes. (EEEWWW). He asked if that could be his next pet. Um, I said no. Brandon had a blast too he was very good at the games.
Josh is gonna take the boys camping next weekend. Also if anyone is interested the liberty fall festival is the weekend after next. The parade is Saturday the 29th. Not sure of the time yet probably 11. You usually need to get there about an hour before for a good piece of concrete. Brandon will probably be in the parade this year for boyscouts. Maybe I will see someone there.

Popcorn, candy, wrapping paper ANYONE???
These fundraisers are kind of getting to me. Brandon has to sell popcorn for boyscouts. If he sells $300 dollars worth he wont have to pay his dues. (Um yea right). He also has the read-a-thon fundraiser which we are suppose to ask people to pledge a penny a minute. We are suppose to read 1000 minutes. Ben is selling the Sally Foster stuff which is reasonably priced as far a fundraisers go. Um I think I have a little too much on my plate right now. I dont really have anyone to ask to buy this stuff but if we dont sell a certain amount then you either miss out of this or miss out on that plus they make you feel like you are this horrible person and like you didnt try to sell the stuff. Like we didnt just go broke on this wedding we just had, or the 5 birthdays I have going on this month. Um hello. Oh well just had to put this out there. We will see what happens.

Entry for September 09, 2007

Happy Birthday Benjamin!!! Today Ben turns 5 years old. We took him out to breakfast this morning. Did some errands and let him pick out dessert for tonight. He picked out some Ninja Turtle cupcakes. We also went to Jana's and Nicks and watched them open their wedding presents. Brandon and Ben told them what to open, who could open it and when to open it. They got lots of nice things. The wedding was so awesome. We all danced our butts off. It was over so fast. Everyone had so much fun. The little kids loved the whole dancing thing. The food was really yummy too. I was kind of embarrased cause I have developed this car sickness/motion sickness thing lately and I thought I was gonna get sick in the limo. Everyone was really nice though, trying to find something for me to be sick in. Thank goodness though we made it to the reception and I didnt get sick.

Entry for September 03, 2007

What a wonderful weekend. Despite the fact I am sick with either a sinus infection, or bronchitis or something. I havent had time to go to the doctor. But anyways Josh finally got a 3 day weekend off. First one in I dont know how long. Saturday he and the boys went out to Jamie's house and helped Mark put together the swingset. Me and Faith twiddled around at home a little bit and we took a much needed nap.
Sunday was the most fun we had a bowling birthday party for Brandon and Ben. It was so much fun. Most of the kids never bowled but they loved it even if they only knocked down 1 pin they would jump around with excited. Ryan and Max got confused a couple of times and would try to throw the ball like a baseball. (That was kinda scary) but we helped them figure it out. We had 5 little kids on one lane and the 5 older kids in the other. It worked out great. It literally took the little kids an hour and a half to play one game. But it safed me some money and they still had a blast.
Afterwards we took everyone home except Brandon's best friend Brenden and they came back to the house to play with all the new toys. Man they got some cool stuff. Ryan got them each pellet guns, Max got them each spiderman and G I Joe things. Ben got some cool K-nex thing, Brandon got some cool matchbox dinosaur thing the folds up like a laptop. They each got some Bionicles, a hula hoop, 2 big posters, 2 nerf footballs. We had transformers cupcakes. Ryan, and Max each had 2. Ryan says thank you so much Jodi for letting me have two ""Elicious"" cupcakes, Max said those were the best cupcakes I ever ate. Too cute now who wouldnt have let them have 2. Brandon and Ben say this was the best birthday EVER.

It was hard to keep their little fingers from touching the cake. They all wanted the transformer on top.

Isnt he cute. Little Sammie came to play with us today. This is my husbands old bosses grandbaby. He is 6 months old. I guess his babysitter got sick or had an emergency or something at the last minute. So Jodi came to the rescue. It seems like forever since Faith was this size. She is so excited today to have a little playmate. He seems very happy. She says he only takes a nap if it is super quiet he doesnt like to miss anything. Sounds like the way my kids were. Shelby is a little nervous. (Dumb dog). Anyways he is just learning to crawl and trying to pull up on things. Fun time!!!! Back to the dumb dog she somehow sprained her front right paw. So 85 dollars later and told to help her take it easy and a bottle of pills, she is doing a little better today. We still dont know how she did it.

The search for silver shoes!!!!!

Oh my gosh it is about time. I have literally been looking for silver shoes for weeks. Jana wants all of us to wear silver shoes with our bridesmaid dress. Well let me just tell you I have not been blessed with cute little feet. I have horrible feet and it is harder than heck for me to find anything to wear that is semi-comfortable. Plus I was not willing to break the bank for a pair of shoes I was only going to wear once. And if I have my way I will be barefoot after the wedding is over. Madison has the right idea she found herself some silver flip flops. Anyways I tried on about 20 pairs of shoes yesterday. I went to Kohls, and Famous footwear. I put on every silver shoe in Famous Footwear. And nothing would work. Or they didnt have my size if I thought I could make it work. Or the shoe had been discontinued. Needless to say I was very stressed since the wedding is only 2 weeks away. So I am almost in tears and I go and pick Brandon up from school and decide to go to Payless. Guess what, they have 1 pair of silver shoes. Not exactly my size but something I can make work. And literally someone had just come in and got their money back. They didnt buy the shoes from this store. Thank god!!!! Now one less worry. I also got Ben's shoes and Faith's shoes. I only spent 50 dollars on all three pairs of shoes. And Ben and Faith will be able to wear theirs several times. Yea!!!

Entry for August 22, 2007

What a week. We have been super busy. The first few days of school have went awesome. Both Brandon and Ben love their teachers. Ben's bus has been late hopefully that will get settled soon. I have to get up to Brandon's school super early again so I am not the last one in line. That is ok though I take that time to read to the kids and stuff. Except this week is so hot. We have been walking to school in the morning. I am trying so hard to lose this last 5 pounds I want to lose. I am almost there. I would like to lose it before the wedding. WE will see.
We helped Jamie move last Saturday. It was kind of sad cause she didnt have much help. I didnt feel right leaving without at least one room being kind of organized. I know how overwhelming it can be. Jake and Lacy worked their bottoms off on Saturday. Then this week I have been watching Jessica's kids and trying to get my own house a little organized. WE are really sad because we missed soccer sign-ups so no soccer for Brandon. He was ok with it though. WE still having swimming lessons plus he will be coming home with homework now. Plus the read-a-thon will be starting soon and he came in first in his grade last year we want to try that again. Well hope everyone is good. Here is a picture of Max, Ben, Millie, and Faith.

Entry for August 14, 2007
Well once again the school year is about to start . And already we are super busy. But I like this kind of busy. Tonight Brandon and Ben meet their teachers. Brandon has Ms. Piepergerdes, and Ben has Ms. Stacey. The school called me yesterday and asked if I could be a volunteer to help the kindergarten teacher and kids get off to a good start. They said a couple of people highly recommended me for this. I wonder who. It made me feel good though that people respect and appreciate me and Josh just so happened to take that day off, so he will get to spend time with Faith and I will get to go spend some time with some kids I dont know. This is the reason we decided to make some sacrifices so I could stay home and be available to help up at their schools, and go on field trips and such. It will be different this year cause Ben only went 2 days a week last year, but sometimes he only went one because of snow days, or teacher days but this year he will go 4. It will help him to get ready for kindergarten next year. I am definately relieved but also feel like I am lost cause most of the summer I had 5-7 kids here at my house and now I only have my own.

Entry for August 10, 2007

Today is my last day of babysitting. I think? At least that is what the girls said. I will find out when I talk to their dad in a bit. But anyways we went to Chucky Cheese today and the kids had a blast. And the rest of the day we have just been relaxing. I cant believe school starts next Thursday.
I have my whole next few days planned out to the minute it seems. But that is ok. Lots to get done in just a few days. Josh is working this weekend, so I will be doing alot by myself. I definately need to clean out my van I will be so embarrassed dropping the kids off at school with a pigsty vehicle. That is normally not me, but with 5 - 7 kids in my vehicle its hard to keep clean. Anyways I will tackle that first.
Next I need to get the kids stuff organized. I will be watching Jessica's kids on Tues and Thurs. And trying to help Jamie move on Wed. Not much time left for me but that is ok. I like to help others when they need it. It makes me feel good. Tuesday night is back to school night for both Brandon and Ben. And No I still do not have Bens school supply list. Supposedly when we called we were told the list would be posted online by Thursday or Friday. It still hasnt been posted. I will probably get the list Tues and then poor Ben will have to carry it all on the bus.
Friday so far nothing, Saturday will probably help Jamie again if she isnt working, and Sunday Ben has a birthday party. Whoo I am already tired. Then its time once again to deal with all the wedding stuff since that is really close now. Plus I have Ben and Brandon's birthday party, we are going to do the bowling thing. The movie's was just going to cost way too much. Plus no good movies are out. (well that we havent already seen anyways). I might not be on here much for the next couple weeks. Have a great weekend.

Faith loves salad. Here is my proof. For those who didnt believe she would eat a whole salad. The kids are in the other room eating pizza rolls, cheetos, and applesauce and here she is eating a salad with all the fixins.
We had a pretty good weekend. Josh was in Texas all last week for training and we didnt go pick him up from the airport till around 10. We got home and didnt get to bed till around midnight. Grandma and Poppy were here too so we got to visit with them. Josh had to go into work for awhile on Saturday. He took Ben with him and me Brandon and Faith went and got me fitted for my dress and Brandon fitted for his tux. Which he is so excited about.
Sunday we went out to Smithville and the kids and Josh swam for awhile, then home to do chores and then he took them out later that night and went rollerblading with them for awhile. He fell twice and got some bad bruises. But all in all they had fun. Now it is back to babysitting this week, some of next week and then school starts. I wish they would send me Bens school supply list. It is less than 2 weeks before school starts and we still dont have his list. Plus it would have been nice to have it last weekend since it was tax-free weekend.

The kids were so excited to get these shirts made for them. The little neighbor girls I am watching got a tie-die kit and made these shirts for the kids last weekend. It is so cute to see these kids getting so close. It definately takes me back to memories.
I have definately been thinking alot these past few days with the passing of my grandma. We went to her visitation yesterday and even though it was very sad, we got to see alot of our cousins and their kids. One of my uncles said I remember seeing all of our kids running around like this and now its our kids, kids running around. It just seems like a couple of years ago and it has been more like 20 years ago. Way too crazy. I remember going to my cousin Timmy's wedding and now his oldest is almost graduating. Its like you blink your eyes and years just pass. I just try to hug and love my kids the most I can each day.
I love you Mama!!! And I will miss you so much. I am so thankful for the time I had with you. I have so many special memories that will always be close to my heart.

Entry for July 25, 2007

Well the first part of our day was fun. We went to Chucky Cheese this morning and everyone had a blast. Then we came home did the quiet time/nap time. Then it was almost time for the girls to go home when boom. One of the little girl smacked into Faith and knocked her smack into the corner part of the trim and blood was everywhere. Head wounds always bleed alot anyways. The little girl who knocked her down screamed and was freaking out. Of coarse she felt terrible. Then I am like go home and tell your dad I need to go to the hospital. Packed Brandon, Ben and Faith up and headed to the ER. Poor baby had to get 5 stitches but all in all she was a good sport. The nurses could not BELIEVE how I was able to keep her so calm. Well if you have been through any of what I have been through when Ben was a baby you would be good at keeping a child calm also. Anyways here is my little baby girl with her first set of stitches, and of coarse it had to be on her face. Hope that will be the end of that.

Entry for July 24, 2007

Faith is definately a girly girl. Which is kind of something I am not use to since I first had two boys. And Brandon and Ben are all boy. Mud, bugs, fighting. All of it.
We bought Faith some cute jammies the other day, because she just will not cover up with a blanket and she wakes up at night sometimes cold. So she just thinks she is the cutest thing walking around in her girly pajamas. Also my sister gave us a little tikes vanity and Faith sits down at it gets some barrettes, a brush or pick or whatever and (fixes her hair) she will also get the lotion and rub it on her while she looks at herself in the mirror it is too cute.
She is already trying to get me to potty train her. She is not even 18 months yet. She went into the bathroom took off her diaper, put the potty seat on the big potty, got herself up on the potty and went. Then got herself down and went to the sink to try and wash her hands. If I wasnt babysitting right now I would probably dive right in on this one but we are always on the go. Maybe after school starts. I would love to stop buying diapers.

Entry for July 23, 2007

Well we finally got to have a little quality family time this weekend. Josh was off Saturday so we headed out to Smithville lake they swam for a little bit. I was quite cool but nice to get away. Then we went and fed the carp and let the kids eat an icecream. Faith fed the fish too and loved it. She lost her shoe to the carp also. It fell in and nobody wanted to stick their hand in their with all those slurping, sliding, slimy fish. Oh well. Gives a chance to go shoe shopping. Then we hit a few thrift shops which was actually pretty fun. We got Brandon about 5 pairs of pants and a coat. The coat was only 1.98 and it looks like it was never worn. We got Ben a pair of pants and Faith a pair of pants, Josh got some slacks and a pair of rollerblades. He tried them on when we got home. If that wasnt hilarious. But its great that he wants to be involved with the kids like that. (making memories).
He had to go in to work for awhile on Sunday so I took that time to do lots of laundry, clean the house, and do all the running. Exhausting but fun filled weekend. And the best thing. (Jamie dont be mad) I have my school shopping done. I am so glad one less stress for me. Now its back to the grind. Think this week we will hit the cheap movie and maybe go out to Chucky Cheese. Not too much more summer left for us. Better make it fun.

Entry for July 19, 2007

Yeah today is my Friday and I am so happy. this week has been so overwhelming. I love the summer cause I get to spend it with my kids. Not having to get up at a certain time, not having to be ready at a certain time, not having to be somewhere at a certain time but we dont get that this year. Thats ok though, it hasnt been too awful. Most days have been ok. I have the kids outside this morning cause it looks like rain and we know how kids that are couped up all day act. So they are outside waking the neighbors. Oh well when you live on a street with kids. Most of my neighbors are 40 and up so they are all up early.
Anyways I am going to take some of my money I worked so hard to earn and take the kids to the mall tomorrow and do some school shopping, let them play for a bit and maybe Josh will come up and meet us for lunch. It will be nice getting to hang out with my 3. And hopefully we will run into some good sales. I heard Sears, Old Navy and Children's Place where all having sales so maybe we can stretch the dough a little bit. Have a wonderful day.

Entry for July 18, 2007

Man its getting hot!!!! We had to take some time out to cool down a little. We decided to hit the water park this morning. We go early before all the big kids get out so little Faith doesnt get trampled. She is starting to warm up to the fact that getting wet with cold water is actually fun. We just have a measly little plastic pool in the back yard and the water in that doesnt stay cold too long. Kind of been an exhausting week cause all the kids seem to be in a MOOD and they are picking on each other and literally driving me nuts.

Entry for July 12, 2007

We are having a pretty fun summer so far. But I am kind of STRESSING out because as of yesterday I realized that school starts in 5 weeks. (are you kidding me). Anyways I have got to get going on some things. I did go last weekend and get the boys each some levis. Toys R Us is having a really good sale on some school clothes. So I got them some jeans, backpacks and lunchboxes. So its a start. Got to kind of spread it out a bit when you are shopping for 3 kiddos.
This is a picture of the little girls Olivia and Nora that have joined us for the summer and my kiddos at the petty zoo. I watch them Monday thru Friday. They are really pretty good and mind very well for the most part. They do try to get away with things every once in awhile just like all kids at one time or another do.
I am definately on my feet all day long. I watch them and then after they leave I have to take care of my daily things I use to get done during the day. Yesterday I did all my cleaning after they left. Its funny how much you get done when you HAVE to get it done. And how much you procrastinate when you dont have a time limit. But since I babysit all week long I dont want to spend my weekend cleaning and stuff.

Entry for July 02, 2007

Millie and Faith act like they are best friends. Whenever they see each other they squeal out in excitement and hug each other like they missed each other so much. And they also play together. Millie acts like the big sister. She makes sure if she has a drink, Faith has one too. If she has a cookie, she makes sure Faith has one too. If she has a ball, she gets one for Faith. It is so cute.
My day has been insane. I am now babysitting until school starts. So I will have kids from about 8ish until about 3ish everyday. Well I also watched Jessica's kids this evening so I am so exhausted. She wont be here to pick her kids up till about 11. So I am worn out and it is only 7. Man I dont know if I can handle this. Think positive all the money I make will go to buy school clothes, backpacks, winter coats, shoes ect. Maybe that will keep me going.
