Entry for May 27, 2007

Well Brandon has been promoted to 1st grade. I have been messing with him all day just calling him a first grader and he looks at me like no I'm not and then he remembers. I went and picked him up from school and brought him a Shrek happy meal. It was kind of sad because all of the 5th grade girls were crying and were all sad cause next year they will go to the middle school. I overheard them talking and all of them had been there since kindergarten. I remember moving on to another school and it was hard cause you not only had the 40 or so you went to school with but also another 20 or 40 from the other 6 or 8 schools that got combined.
I almost started crying with those girls cause I cant believe this school year is already over and Brandon will be moving to the next grade. I will probably ball like a baby this next year when Ben finishes preschool and he starts kindergarten and when it is Faiths turn WATCH OUT!!! You wont want to be around me then.

Entry for May 22, 2007

Ben is SUPER excited for his last day of preschool and his fun water day. Cant you tell? No actually he really is, he is just resting up so he will have lots of energy today. I hope the weather holds up. It looks like it could start pouring at anytime. I am sure if he does they will have something else fun to do. He is excited he is wearing his swim trunks under his clothes. While he was getting dressed he goes do I need my underwear today? Too funny. I said no you will have enough layers you will be fine without them. Your swimming trunks will be just fine as underwear. He was so worried.
He sometimes comes in my room long after I think he is asleep and he will ask me something I guess he has been pondering about since he went to bed. He is a thinker and he concentrates hard, sometimes too hard. Anyways he came in my room at about 9:45 and says, "Mommy is a butterfly a fly", I said no buddy its not, "Then why does it have fly in its name". Anyways we explained that one and he then fell right to sleep.
Grandma and Poppy came and stayed with us and bought us some Chinese food for dinner. Everyone was so excited cause not only have we not eaten Chinese in a long time we also dont really eat out anymore. You should have seen these boys eat. Like they were on Survivor or something. Which kind of made Brandon really slow and clutsy at the game last night. He kept falling he said he ate too much.

Entry for May 21, 2007

We had a fantastic weekend. Friday we started with the carnival at school. It was pretty fun they had a big slide, an obstacle coarse, lots of games, lots of carnival food. Saturday was the Heritage Festival so we went to that. Played some games, looked at crafts, ate some more carnival type food. We got so busy with the fun we totally forgot about soccer practice. OOPPSS!!!. Then Sunday we put some sand in the sandbox, filled up the pool, did some yard work. Played outside. We got lots of sun this weekend. We got to go pick up Josh's work truck which is going to help us tremendously with the gas. But lets not make this blog negative. That is all I will say about the rising gas prices. Then this morning we had a nice stroll taking Brandon to school. This is Brandon's last week as a kindergarten student. He gets out Friday at 11:45 and Bens last day is tomorrow. He gets to have a water day. That will be fun. Hope the rain holds off. Then they get a week off and then they get to go to summer school. They are super excited to go to summer school plus it will help me out with finding things for them to do for June anyways.

Way to go Brandon. Brandon was so excited at his soccer game last night. He made 3 goals (only two counted) and he just played awesome. His team won 6 to 1. One time he stole the ball and dribbled it all the way down. Another time someone kicked it two him and he dribbled that one all the way in. It was so cute to see his face. He smiled great big like "Look Mom I did it". He was so excited cause grandma Terri came to the game and cheered him on and also witnessed the goals. Here is his new soccer picture. This year his team is the HEATS. Cause they are on fire. Now I owe him a special treat. We made a deal. Oh also that was my Mother's Day present. He said I got 2 presents from him since he made 2 goals.

Lots to talk about but no extra time to blog. Spiderman 3 was an awesome movie we went and celebrated Josh's promotion by going out to the movies. Brandon and Ben loved it. We also caught Brandon at one time with a tear running down his cheek. (That is all I will say dont want to give anything away) but it was cute.
Josh was promoted to a manager position with AT&T. Now he will get to see Mark more often. (haha). He is really excited but also nervous but I think he should do well in the managing position he did really well in the army being a sargeant.
Also I am almost done with the painting. Man that job sucks. Anyways as soon as that is done we are on to the organizing of closets and all that fun stuff I would like to get a garage sale going on end of May or early June while the kids are still in school. Brandon will go to summer school all of June and Ben will go 12 days in June so I need to take advantage of that. All of July and August I will be babysitting to bring in some income to get school clothes and other things the boys might need for the next school year. We had a vacation planned to Texas but do to unforseen expenses that had to be cancelled. But we will still try to take a short trip maybe to Springfield or St. Louis or something. There is always lots of stuff to do around these parts.
